MUKESH AND NITA AMBANI’S LOVE STORY IS STRAIGHT OUT FROM A BOLLYWOOD FLICK

If Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s life seems larger than life, then the incident that got them into a wedlock also appears to be a scene out of a Bollywood flick. Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man is generally viewed as a non-flamboyant man but the manner in which he proposed Nita Ambani, would put any romantic lover to shame.

It is said that marriages are made in Heaven and in their case, it proved to be absolutely true as the couple had no connection with each other before meeting each other and falling in love.

Nita Ambani used to perform Bharatnatyam at various stages throughout Gujarat and during one of these stage shows, she was sighted by Mukesh Ambani’s father Dhiru Bhai Ambani who took an instant liking for her. He was left impressed by her scintillating performance and amalgamation of Indian values in her.

He called Nita Ambani the next day, but a dumbstruck Nita took it for a prank call and instantly replied that she is none other than Elizabeth Taylor (Nita told this in an interview with NDTV).

When Dhiru Bhai Ambani called again, her father picked it up and he recognized his voice. He later convinced Nita to meet Dhiru Bhai Ambani who invited her to his office. It was here that Dhiru Bhai Ambani asked her to meet his son Mukesh, as he thought she would be the perfect wife to his son.

The duo then started dating each other but were still contemplating over marriage as Neeta was still confused about her decision to marry Mukesh. Her formal education wasn’t complete and she wanted to give some more time to the thought.

Although Mukesh’s and Neeta’s parents were keen that the two enter into a wed-lock, there was as such no pressure on them and the duo were allowed to take their time. But things changed completely one day when Mukesh suddenly asked her for marriage and that too, in the most romantic style.

Mukesh and Nita were driving through Poddar Road in Mukesh’s Fiat when he suddenly stopped his car at the red traffic signal, and asked Nita if she would marry him. It was 7.30pm, the traffic was at its peak, horn of the cars blew continuously and Mukesh said, “Tell me or I won’t start the car!”

With no choice left, a confused Nita actually said, “Yes I will”, and that started a new chapter of their life.
